"For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; ARE YE NOT CARNAL?"
1 Corinthians 3:4
- When your Pastor’s words and ideas are more valuable to you than the Bible; even if it contradicts the Bible.
- When you seek to know more about your Pastor rather than knowing more about God.
- When you celebrate and talk more of your Pastor than you talk about Christ.
- When you are just satisfied with just knowing your Pastor and his Ministry but without any desire to seek the God of the Pastor.
- When your hope is in the Pastor’s wealth and affluence than in God’s riches and glory.
- When you are controlled to doing things because of your Pastor’s material wealth rather than been led by the Holy Spirit.
- When you can quote all or most of your Pastor’s statement but can’t quote God’s Word in a higher proportion.
- When you follow your Pastor’s example that is contrary to God’s will.
- When you fear your Pastor more than God.
- When you are more concerned with your Pastor’s opinion rather than God’s.
- When you are more focused on your Pastor’s spiritual gifts
than the God who gave the gifts.
- When your Pastor succeed in cutting you off from having personal relationship with other believers from other denomination.
- When the proximity of your heart and spirit to your Pastor is closer than your proximity to God.
- When you prefer your Pastor’s will rather than seeking God’s will.
- When you forget that you have the same access to the throne of grace as your Pastor.
- When you disregard other men of God but only value your Pastor above all others.
- When you do things and offer service just to please
your Pastor without regards to pleasing God. When you are willing to curse and kill for your Pastor.
- When you are being transformed into the image of your Pastor and not to the image of Christ Jesus.

"Looking unto Jesus (not to your Pastor or to any man) the author and finisher of our faith;"
Hebrews 12:2a.
